I have had the privilege working in private practice for many years, working with adults one on one. I appreciate that each one of my clients has different needs and because of this the flow of therapy changes with each client.
I practice with deeply held values of authenticity and connection, I give a strong commitment to my clients.
I have a preference for EMDR psychotherapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
ACT is a mindfulness based therapy that helps clients identify what is important to them and has an overall focus on developing psychological flexibility.
I work with adults who have complex trauma histories and in this work I practice EMDR and draw from Model of Structural Dissociation and Ego State Therapy.
I have studied Positive Psychology and practice strategies and approaches within this realm.
Through my years of practice, experience and learnings I specialise in complex presentations.

Individual Therapy with Tara
I am a registered Psychologist and I work with adults and teenagers 16 years and over. My commitment to you is to provide a supportive, safe environment where you feel heard, understood, and valued.
I have experience with a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches including Compassion Focused Therapy, Attachment based approaches, Neurobiology and Family Systems. My primary therapeutic modality is Internal Family Systems Therapy, also known as parts therapy.
I have a special interest in working with people with Neurodivergent presentations to increase self understanding and self advocacy.
I place high value on our therapeutic relationship and I trust in your innate ability to be the expert on your own life.
I see strength in vulnerability and I am privileged to walk alongside you as we navigate your therapeutic journey together.
